Hiring

Requirements & Process

Minimum Requirements:
Must be a United States Citizen.
High school education or G.E.D.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Can not have any felony convictions.
Can not have more than three (3) unrelated misdemeanor convictions including traffic  misdemeanors.

 

Selection Based on the Following: (Eligibility List)
Written Test
Oral Interview
Background Investigation
Physical Assessment Test

 

Applications Will Be Terminated For The Following Reasons:
Any misstatement or omission of required information.
Application is incomplete.
Any evidence of a felony conviction.
Any evidence of dishonesty.
Any evidence of current illegal drug activity.
Any evidence of more than three misdemeanor convictions including traffic offenses.
 

The Cumberland Police Department is not, at this time, accepting applications for Full Time Officer   or Reserve Officer.
